Automobile Repair Services

Vehicle Diagnostics

A man is working on a car in a garage and looking at a clipboard.

Vehicle Diagnostics is done so we can identify and assess problems that may negatively affect the normal operation of a vehicle. By running automobile diagnostics we can reveal problems with the engine, transmission, exhaust system, brakes, and other components like performance issues with the fuel injector, coolant, ignition coil, air flow and throttle. We run check engine light code readings and plug in a diagnostic scanner to read the trouble codes that tell us where the problem is.

Oil Change

A bottle of oil is being poured into a car engine.

Oil Change most people want to know, when is the best time for a vehicle to get an oil change. As vehicles change so does the repair on a vehicle and the maintenance and upkeep on a vehicle also changes. It used to be the normal to have an oil change every 3,000 miles, but now with some of the modern lubricants most engines have recommended oil change times of 5,000 to 7,5000 miles. Some full synthetic motor oil might go even further. You just want to be sure that you do not prolong an oil change because eventually your entire engine will lock up and need to be replaced.

Vehicle Tune ups

A man is working on a car engine with a screwdriver.

Vehicle Tune ups having a car tune up or a truck tune up is having preventative maintenance done on the vehicle to prevent future problems and help assure that the vehicle will perform well. Things like checking the engine for parts that need cleaning, fixing or replacing, cleaning or replacing the spark plugs, the distributor cap and rotor, checking filters, belts, hoses, car fluids are all types of preventative maintenance.

Brakes

A man is fixing a brake disc on a car in a garage.

Brakes how do you know if your brakes might be getting bad? There are a number of warning signs, that should not be ignored. If the brake light comes on you should have your brakes checked. If, all of a sudden you start hearing a squealing or grinding noise this is a sign the brake pads are wearing down. If you experience a wobbling, vibration or scaping when applying the brakes your brakes could be bad. If you brake pedal becomes spongy or soft or pushes down further than normal get your brakes checked. Your car pulling to one side, or bounding up and down as you apply the brakes or a burning smell brakes will need to be checked. If your vehicle is leaking fluid you could be losing brake fluid.

Exhaust System

The underside of a car with a brake disc removed.

Exhaust System there are clear signs of having exhaust system problems. If you are experiencing power/acceleration trouble, vehicle vibrations or strange noises when you accelerate. Even a check engine light could mean you have exhaust problems. If you experience exhaust fume smells, even experiencing decrease fuel mileage on a tank of gas could indicate exhaust problems.
